Program ServicesCommunity RX Help offers two programs to serve the medication needs of patients.
|
Maintenance Medication ProgramThis program allows patients, who are deemed eligible, to be certified for one year to receive their medication. A patient provides the necessary documentation (proof of income, ID and social security card or proof of residency) to staff at Community RX Help. The staff then fills out the necessary applications for the appropriate pharmaceutical companies. These applications are then given to the medical provider for signature and verification of medication and dosage. The application is then submitted to the pharmaceutical company for review and acceptance into the program. When eligibility is determined, the patient will receive the medication by mail. If there are issues with the application, staff will troubleshoot and resolve the problems arising. Community RX Help staff then calls in refills for the patient at 3 month or 4 month intervals. Medications are mailed to the patient's home or to the doctor's office.

Emergency/Immediate Medication ProgramThis program is funded by a different source and is separate from the operating budget of the organization. This program can provide up to a 30 day supply of up to three medications, totaling no more than $500, once every six months. The medications that are covered by this program are heart, pulmonary, antibiotics, diabetes and epilepsy. The eligibility for this program is the same as for the Maintenance Program.
This program is conducted through a partnership with Striplings Pharmacy in Nacogdoches, which gives us the lowest price possible. After being screened for eligibility, a voucher is provided to the patient. Striplings sends us an invoice once a month to recover the cost of these medications. |
Giving is good medicine!
